A dish is a vessel that has a flat bottom with little to no body.  By using Anna Shepard's criteria, a dish is an open form where the height is less than the diameter.  The angle of the sides from the base are between 0 and 30 degrees.

This category does not match Woolley's published ceramic vessel typology.  It matches the metal vessel typology No. 85 and stone vessel typology No. 28; 105.
