Context Description: It led straight into the courtyard (Room 1) which was once paved. The SE wall of this was late, abutting on a reveal in the NE wall (which was for the most part destroyed); it had nine courses of burnt brick. The SW wall had a door at its west end which had been walled up and a new door to Room 2 had been cut through it and furnished with a burnt-brick threshold.2
